Wilderness Basics Course – 2025

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 SAN DIEGO WILDERNESS BASICS COURSE IS NOW OPEN. SPACE IS LIMITED TO 165 STUDENTS.

Please be aware of the following:

• There is no waitlist; after registration closes, the class is full.

• If you have a Sierra Club membership that is active through Mar 31, 2025, you will be reimbursed $15 by Feb 4, 2025.

• If you cancel after registering, a cancellation fee of $100 will be deducted from your refund.

• A refund is only available when cancelling before the second class (except for medical reasons).

• You will not be able to sign up for Car Camp until you complete your day hike.

• You may participate in Wilderness Basics Course a maximum of 2 times within a 5 year period.

• Snow camp will be 1 or 2 nights in the field; Mammoth is currently planned as an option, however if weather or other reasons prevent this, all snow camp trips will occur in SoCal mountains.

• Please review the class schedule and make sure you can attend the main or make-up dates; there are no other dates besides those listed in the schedule.
